February 2011 – Present
Employed as Irish Language Development Officer for Glengormely area. Project involves the development of the Irish Language community and through this work I have been part of a group to set up and develop a youth club, Cumman Óige Croí Éanna, in the Glengormley area. At present working with 40 children and young people in consultation and programme planning process.
2008 – Present:
Project Manager for Aisling Óg, Irish Language drama school based in An Chultúrlann, Falls Road. At present working with 3 staff and 35 young people on drama, dance and stage craft. Have produced successful end of term drama projects for the general public since November 2008.
June 2011 – Present:
Working with a group of 30+ young people as part of an Arts project facilitated by Relatives for Justice.
March 2011 – May 2011:
Working with 5 young women from Blackie River Centre project on devised writing and performance piece dealing with issues which affect young people in the Beechmount and greater West Belfast area. Piece to be performed April 2011 for general public.
October 2010 – June 2011-06-27
Worked with 30+ children in weekly drama sessions as part of the extended schools project in Gaelscoil Éanna.
Sept 2010 – March 2011-06-27
Worked with Scoil An Droichead, Gaelscoil Ghleann Darragh and Bunscoil an tSleibhe Dubh on extended schools drama projects. 100+ children took part in these sessions.
May 2010 – October 2010:
Worked with 11 young people from Blackie River Centre project on devised writing piece concerning drug use, affects on community and death. Piece was performed for and acclaimed by general public in October 2011.
Worked with 30 children on theatre piece over a week long programme during Scoil Samhraidh Mhic Reachtain on Antrim Road Belfast. Culminated in end of scheme performance. Have been approached by Scoil Samhraidh Mhic Reachtain to produce a similar scheme for this year’s summer programme.
February 2010 – May 2010:
Worked with group of 4 young women on project to celebrate the achievements of women over the past 100 years for a young people’s conference hosted by Women Into Politics. Newly devised and piece which was well received by conference attendees.
